Implementation of Security Surcharges for International Air Cargo originated from Japan
2014.11.07
On November 7, 2014, ANA has received approval to implement Security Surcharges for International Air Cargo originated from Japan. Due to evolving security upgrades after the 9.11 terrorist attacks, security related costs are increasing year by year.
We have been making self-help efforts to absorb these costs, but are no longer able to endure such situation since security related costs such as installation and maintenance of testing equipment and deployment of security staff, increase significantly along with revision of laws of each country. Therefore, ANA has no choice but to implement a Security Surcharges on International Air Cargo originated from Japan to cover a part of our security related costs.

*Security Surcharges will be calculated based on Chargeable Weight except Minimum rate class shipments.
*Type of payment must be same as that of weight charge
ANA will make further effort towards cost reduction and will achieve safe and secure international airfreight transportation by improving the level of our aviation security system.
Your kind cooperation and understanding are highly appreciated.
