Cautionary notes for advance cargo information for U.S. Customs

Recently, there have been many incidents of fines imposed by U.S. Customs due to inaccurate advance cargo information for U.S. Customs. Once again, we ask for your cooperation in making a proper declaration.
1. Applicable cargo
All freights into and via the United States
2. Cautionary notes
① Accurate consignee information
・Please submit the actual and accurate consignee full name and address
for the MAWB and HAWB.
・Please note the following inaccurate examples submitted by customers.
<Inaccurate examples>
i. Unnecessary words are entered in the address field
※Please enter only the address in the address field.
(Company name and personal name are unnecessary)
ii. Duplicate input data
※It is not necessary to enter the city, state, and ZIP Code (MIAMI FL 33182)
in the address field as it is written in each field.
iii. State and city do not match
※City: TAMPA State: NY (New York) is entered, but TAMPA is a city in Florida.
iv. Two city names are entered
※DALLAS is not necessary in the address field.
※Also, please enter the exact city, not the airport code such as "IAH" or
"DFW".
② Specific description of goods
・Please submit the specific name of the goods for the MAWB and HAWB.
・Information that cannot be recognized as a product name, such as "GENERAL",
"OTHER", "CONSOL", technical code etc. cannot be used.

③ Missing HAWB information
・There are cases where some HAWB information is not submitted. Please be careful
to submit all the HAWB information.
3. Other
・Please note that in the case of fines imposed by customs, we may invoice the
customer. We would also like to ask for your cooperation in submitting appropriate
information.
